"But
the two men had remained
in the camp: the name
of one was Eldad and
the name of the other
Medad. And the Spirit
rested upon them. Now
they were among those
listed, but who had
not gone out to the
tabernacle, yet they
prophesied in the camp.
And a young man ran
and told Moses, and
said , 'Eldad and Medad
are prophesying in the
camp.'
So Joshua the son of
Nun, Moses' assistant,
one of his choice men,
answered and said, 'Moses
my lord, forbid them!'
Then Moses said to him,
'Are you zealous for
my sake? Oh, that all
the Lord's people were
prophets and that the
Lord would put His Sprit
upon them'
."
(Numbers 11:26-29)
BE
LIKE GOD
Throughout
Scripture God uses the
lowly, the frightened,
the weak, the ones most
often passed over for
greatness -- why? Because
man's tendency is to
exalt himself for the
gifts God bestows.
A
family was describing
their Pastor to us one
day to the point where
I had to say we need
to look at the message
coming from God not
the man who was presenting
it.
Even
Jesus' physical form
was unassuming. Read
how Isaiah describes
the Lord, "He had
no beauty or majesty
to attract us to Him,
nothing in His appearance
that we should desire
Him." (Isaiah 53:2)
We
are made in the image
of God on the inside
yet we look at the outside
as our measure. God
wants us to be like
Jesus on the inside
so we manifest His qualities
on the outside by what
we do, on how we share
His love as He did.
"If only all of
the Lord's people were
prophets!".
Rejoice
in the Lord Always!
