"Our
Father in heaven, hallowed
be Your name, Your Kingdom
come, Your will be done
on earth as it is in
heaven."
(Matthew 6:9-10)
ON
EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
When
God establishes His
new Kingdom promised
throughout Scriptures,
He also promises to
be the very heart of
it.
"Now the dwelling
of God is with men,
and He will live with
them. They will be His
people, and God Himself
will be with them and
be their God."
Revelation 21:3
I
originally thought of
a title for this devotional
to be, "WHAT ARE
YOU WAITING FOR?"
because for those in
Christ, God is with
them, His presence goes
with them, His very
being inhabits the believer.
"Do you not know
that your body is a
temple of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you, whom
you have received from
God?". Corinthians
6:19
This
translates that the
Kingdom of God has come
and resides in the life
of those who have trusted
in Christ.
"I have been crucified
with Christ and I no
longer live, but Christ
lives in me." Galatians
2:20
The
victory won at the Cross
is your victory. The
power of God that raised
Jesus from the dead
now lives in you.
This
is significant because
wherever you are, wherever
God has placed you,
becomes your place of
ministry, a place where
God is.
Whether
it is in your home,
your school, a hospital
room, the grocery store,
your car, or your business,
God is there.
It
is not limited to the
church building, though
God encourages believers
to gather to minister
to each other in worship,
prayer and giving of
encouragement.
His
Kingdom comes right
here on earth! His will,
will be done on earth
as it is in heaven,
because you, a believer
in the sinless Son of
God, have been redeemed,
and have the Holy presence
of God living and breathing
within you.
I
hope this good news
will help you change
any negative attitude
you may have had concerning
your placement in life,
or your circumstance,
or your direction.
Turning
towards God is always
a step in the right
direction.

in the Lord Always!
