"The
Lord came and stood
there, calling as at
the other times, 'Samuel!
Samuel!'
Then Samuel said, 'Speak
for Your servant is
listening."
(1 Samuel 3:10)
WHO'S
DOING ALL THE TALKING?
Are
you one who says, "Speak
Lord, Your servant is
listening," or
"Listen Lord, Your
servant is speaking!.
God encourages us to
come to Him. In Jeremiah,
God says, "Call
to Me" Jeremiah
33:3a and goes on to
say, "and I will
answer you and tell
you great and unsearchable
things you do not know."
When we pray we should
do so with His Word
on our lap so when we
are done doing all the
talking, we can stop,
remain quiet and allow
His wisdom, guidance,
and love to flow through
the pages into our heart.
"If you love Me,
you will obey what I
command. And I will
ask the Father, and
He will give you another
Counselor to be with
you forever-the Spirit
of truth. The world
cannot accept Him, because
it neither sees Him
nor knows Him. But you
know Him, for He lives
with you and will be
in you." John 14:15-17.
God
doesn't leave you as
orphans, He gives His
Holy Spirit to those
who have the Son as
Saviour. He opens the
Word to reveal His heart
to those who earnestly
seek the truth.
Then
you can truly say that
the answer was right
there in front of you.
