DO NOT BE OVERWHELMED
Esso Service Stations offer a new feature called “Speedpass”.
It allows you to pass a coded key over a pad located on the pump, refill your tank, and then just leave. The coded key provides the info for billing
Currently you can swipe your credit card or Interact and pay at the pump so the new “Speedpass”, according to my calculations, saves you about 12 seconds. I guess to some, those 12 seconds are precious.
I wonder about those 12 seconds. In the scheme of life according to God, He desires us to hear His Word and most importantly “accept what I say.”
If those 12 seconds could be applied to obedience, then I guess those 12 seconds are important.
But if the 12 seconds is just extra time to ignore God, then there is no point in saving time.
In reality, when you think about it, we don’t save time anyway. Time slips into the future and nothing we do stops it. However, we can reallocate time.
God is asking us to reallocate our time to His timetable.
You can’t speed past God…Stop! Take a minute, then two and more, and spend quality time with God. You will not be overwhelmed with life when you spend peaceful time with God.
