May 4, 2019 - Race #1
Our 51st race season opened on Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway. There were 17 cars in the very fast Pro Late Model series. We ran 2 successful hot lap sessions noting that all our work during the off season, including brakes, front end, steering and engine were good to go.
We found a few issues with the car under race conditions, easy things to fix but no time at the track. Though competitive we felt we could be more aggressive with some adjustments during the week.
We started 12th in our first 30 lap race finishing 9th at the checker.
Between races we made some adjustments for the second 30 lap feature event.
The second feature was a tough race for many drivers including us. A few spin outs and one bad wreck, that brought out the red flag, saw us get caught up in a few mishaps, two of which we sustained cosmetic damage. All drivers were okay. In spite of the trouble we were able to improve out first race finish with a 7th.
